The sheetrock is almost complete on the interior, our storefront doors and windows are all installed, and the master craftsman are laying the slate tile on the fireplace and around the perimeter of the building. Phase II planning continues as Clackamas County considers our design application.

Progress this week has been amazing as the team has placed the second story, administrative, and lobby roof structures. On Friday, September 19, the cranes will arrive early, and they will begin the dramatic process of placing the roof trusses on the multipurpose room. By the end of the day Friday, the multipurpose room will have all the roof structure completed, and will be ready to begin treating it. Pray for continued dry weather!
Design plans for Phase II are in full swing, and we have submitted for a pre-application meeting with the County to review our designs. If all goes to plan, we will journey through design review over the next 3 months and be approved and ready to begin construction on Phase II early next year.
Next week, paving in the parking lots begins, and soon to follow will be the landscape and hardscape activities.
Thanks to the great work of our project manager and builders, as well as all of the other members of our building team, construction is moving along quickly. For our Parade and Prayers on the property event last Sunday, we were able to stand within the walls of our multipupose room to praise God for what he has given us. Our future church home is now covered with the prayers and wishes of our church family.
Walls are going up quickly - it looks like a real building now!
On Wednesday evening, WOW (our women’s group) met to tour and pray on the property. What a beautiful evening for it!
The framing of the walls has begun! The crew is doing a fabulous job, and it is great fun to see the walls of our church home being erected. You’re looking right into the lobby in pic 1, looking into the multi-purpose in pic 2, looking out the window of our downstairs meeting room in pic 3, and looking out Pastor Joel’s office in pic 4. What a view! Soon the roof will be coming!
