One-Year Anniversary!

It’s hard to believe that an entire year has gone by since we moved into our new facility.

We just want to say THANK YOU to all of you who have made this church what it is: A caring community that loves God, loves people, and serves the world.

Check out some pictures below of our construction, move in, and dedication service. Also check out our “Greater Things” video for a glimpse into what we’re all about at Willamette Christian Church!

Exploring Christianity?

If you could ask God one question and you knew it would be answered, what would it be?

Christianity Explored gives you time and space to explore the big questions of life. It’s relaxed and informal. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible.

You can ask any question you want, or just sit and listen. It’s up to you.

When | Sundays, 5:30-7:00pm beginning January 24th

Where | in the multipurpose room of Willamette Christian Church

We start by sharing dinner and lead into discussion from there. Feel free to bring a friend. There is no cost to participate, and a full kids program is provided up to age 10.

Missions Opportunities @ WCC

Missions Opportunities

At WCC, we view missions as an essential part of our church. We are committed to the mobilization of our own resources (prayer, monetary, and human) for the objective of reaching all peoples of the world for Christ. WCC supports both long-term missionaries in other countries, as well as those who wish to make a difference in the lives of the less-fortunate on a short-term basis.

There are so many needs all around the world for your love and support. Contact Shanon Vroman at 503.519.0569 or email shanonmv@comcast.net to discuss the ways you can serve the world. Here are some of the current opportunities:

Serve

Here are three ways to serve your church body:

1. Weekend & Event Setup & Teardown

  • Saturday chair setup team: setup worship area with chairs at 4pm on Saturdays. (4 people for 45 minutes each weekend, at least 8 to form two alternating A/B teams)
  • Sunday chair teardown team: stack and move chairs in the worship area at ~12:30pm on Sundays. (6 people are needed for 30 minutes each weekend. 12 needed to create A/B teams.)
  • Sunday “Refresh” team: restock, empty trash and do light cleaning after last Sunday morning service, ~12:15pm. (2 people are needed for 1 hour or less each weekend.)
  • Special Events on-call team: 48 hour notice given for individuals who gather to setup the facility for special events. (Need as many team members as possible so individuals are called occasionally.)
  • “Spruce it up” team: re-organize and perform odd jobs in the building during the week. (Unlimited number of spaces available on this team.)

2. After-hours facility coordinator

WCC ministries and local community groups utilize our facility seven days a week. We want to bless this city, making our home theirs. Team will welcome guests and support their needs, ensure proper building use and secure building at closing.

  • Open Coordinator slots: Sundays 1:00-5:30pm or 5:30-10pm
  • Weeknight alternates (5:45-10pm)

3. Facility maintenance

Schedule your portrait sitting today!

Our church family is growing – help us make connections by putting names with faces! Photographers from Lifetouch will be at our location September 15-17.  They are taking family and individual portraits which will be loaded into our children’s check-in system to help ensure our children’s safety.  The photos will also be used for printed directories and a new online password-protected directory viewable only by our church family.

Everyone who participates will receive a free 8×10 and a printed directory.

Please schedule your sitting today so that we can get a complete family album!

During your professional photography session, you will:

• Be photographed using professional studio-quality equipment.
• Immediately view your images and electronically select your poses.
• Have the opportunity to purchase additional portraits in a large selection. No pressure to purchase!

When was the last time you had family portraits taken?  Schedule your reservation online by clicking  here.
