The sheetrock is almost complete on the interior, our storefront doors and windows are all installed, and the master craftsman are laying the slate tile on the fireplace and around the perimeter of the building. Phase II planning continues as Clackamas County considers our design application.

As you can all see, we have launched a brand new website here at Willamette Church! We are very excited about this site for the sake of this body. This will be a tool that will enable us to connect with one another and encourage each other in our faith.

Our new building is coming along great, and on schedule! From Salamo road, you can really get a sense of the scale of the building, especially when coming from Rosemont Ridge School. The second story is up, and the roof will be going on very soon!
Also, please remember to join us this coming Sunday, September 7th, as we parade to the property after our 10:45am morning service. We will be writing our prayers for the new facility on the stem walls. It will be fantastic to have everyone there, to look forward to worshipping in our new home!
Scott Holstrom, the project superintendent for BN Builders, escorted several church staff members on a tour of the construction site yesterday. Scott was able to clearly show us the footprint of the building, as well as where most of the interior walls and features will be. It’s a very human-scale building that will be light-filled, welcoming and warm, with a variety of flexible spaces which should suit the needs of our church family and community well. The building is sited on the property to both 1) take best advantage of the fabulous views, and 2) blend seamlessly with the existing nearby building and natural surroundings.
