The Table

Free, hot breakfast offered to all - no questions asked - every Friday morning from 6:30-8:30 at WCC 10th Street building. The number of guests we serve each morning continues to grow. We have people in charge to give directions. You can serve as often or as infrequently as you like.

Volunteer Positions:
SERVERS: Need 3 people per week, minimum
Arrive by 6:00am
Help set up for the breakfast
Greet and serve the guests who come
Keep dishes cleared as the morning progresses
Distribute leftover food

HOSPITALITY: Need 3 people per week
Arrive by 6:30am
Greet guests who come for breakfast
Sit with guests and visit
Eat with guests

COOKS: Need 3 people per week
Arrive by 5:30am
Prep and cook the food according to that week's menu
Keep food fresh by preparing small batches throughout the morning

CLEAN UP: Need 3 people per week
Arrive by 8:15am
Complete clean up of kitchen
Wash remaining dishes
Clean sinks
Clean floors
Wipe and store tables

Sunday Market

The Sunday Market helps people meet their weekly grocery needs. You will feel truly blessed once you serve in this ministry and see the work God is doing.

Volunteer helper needs:
Set up and sort food
Prepare food for freezers that can be used at The Table
Greet and help people who come to "shop"
Clean up and store food for Monday pick up

Food Pantry

Willamette Christian maintains a stocked pantry to help families with emergency food needs; loss of job, medical emergency, etc.

Click here to learn more about Food Pantry serving opportunities. Work with The Pantry is sporadic throughout the year. The opportunities to serve are 2-3 times a year, as needed. A regular scheduled service tied to The Pantry would be helping with Sunday Market.

Love, INC (In the Name of Christ)

Lorraine Briggs
The Love INC liaison acts as a conduit between our church and the local Love INC affiliate. Whether it's coordinating donations from members for delivery to Love INC, or referring those in need to Love INC, this team can make a big difference in someone's life.

Love In the Name of Christ enables churches in a community to pool their resources and services so that those in need are not turned away.
Families in need receive immediate and long-term help.
Church members use their gifts and talents through specific, manageable opportunities to serve others.
Local churches come together, across denominational lines, modeling unity of the Body of Christ.
Lives and communities are transformed.

Clothing Ministry

This is a community outreach program connected with Love, Inc. We help our congregation by collecting their gently-used clothing, then we distribute it to the community through the Love, Inc. organization.
