Men’s Ministries

Being intentional about sharing God’s love

You’re a guy who has been coming to WCC for somewhere between a couple of weeks and ten years, and maybe you feel like now is the right time to step up your involvement. So what do you do?

Here are some great ways to “get out of the boat”:

1. Attend Building Men of Character Classes

Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 9:30, join other WCC men in the process of becoming the men God meant us to be. No strings, no holding hands, no reading aloud, no feet washing, weeping or gnashing of teeth. Just men growing closer to God and each other. Contact Gary Yarco for more details.

2. Join a Men’s Team Bible Study

Spend time in The Word Monday and Thursday mornings at 6:00 at the tenthstreet building. Keep your “sword of the spirit…the word of God” sharp. It is a battle “out there” and you better be armed and ready. Contact Mark Smith for details about Monday’s study, and Kent Blair for Thursday’s study.

3. Attend a Special Event

There’s always something happening at WCC. Retreats, special seminars, classes, concerts, special events and more. Keep an eye on the calendar for what’s coming up.

4. Plug In

We all want to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Use your gifts and experiences to serve others and develop friendships on the team. The Moving Ministry, Set-Up/Tear Down Ministry, Helping Hands Team or Ushering are easy ways to start.

Our Mission: To be a dynamic resource to the men of Willamette Christian Church, that supports and
equips them to become all they can be through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior

Our Goals:

  • To enable men to experience the joy of a relationship with Jesus Christ
  • To empower men to grow in their faith from wherever they are
  • To facilitate a level of trust, accountability and encouragement among men
  • To provide the tools for men to accept responsibility, reject passivity and lead courageously
  • To prepare men to be leaders in their family, at work and in the community
