WCC Volunteer Center
At Willamette, we value community. As our church grows, connecting with others requires a more conscious effort on everyone’s part. To help our church family make these connections, we’ve opened a Volunteer Center where volunteers will gather before each service.
Here’s what volunteers will do in the Volunteer Center:
- Grab a muffin and chat with fellow volunteers, maybe meet someone new!
- Get equipped with the information they need to be the expert on Willamette for our guests.
- Check their entire family in – all in one place. Children can then be taken upstairs after they have a kid-friendly snack.
- Pray together as a team, so we can keep our focus centered on Christ as we welcome others into our church. And isn’t that what serving is all about?
The distinction between serving and just volunteering is what is in our hearts. Because of the busyness in all of our lives, we need time after we arrive at church to prepare our hearts to meet guests with a Christ-centered focus. We believe that the time we spend together as a team will increase the blessing volunteers feel as they serve our church family.
