Set up in auditorium and stage: This team has at least four members. They unload the first trailer at 6:30 sharp and set up the stage and auditorium area including all the chairs. They finish between 7:30 and 8:00 am. Anyone is welcome; there's some training as you go if you want to learn about the sound and video equipment. This can be a fun group, as they tend to wake up together, as they're working. There are two teams, A Team and B Team, who work on alternate weekends.

Tear down in auditorium and stage: This team stacks all the chairs, then breaks down and packs all our equipment back into the storage containers and rolls them into the trailers. They start right after second service and they typically finish by 12:45 pm. They are all fast, efficient, and eager to train anyone with interest. Everyone is welcome, and this area is a great fit for families with students of any age. There are two teams, A Team and B Team, who work on alternate weekends.

Set up in nursery and student classrooms: These are two to three person teams that prepare classrooms for the different age groups of students. They unpack toys, supplies, mats, some small chairs and tables. We have three classroom areas that take about an hour to prepare, and this team starts at about 7:30 am. They also rotate on an A Team and B Team schedule, working every other weekend.

Tear down in the nursery and student classrooms: This team returns to the classrooms and packs our supplies and equipment into the appropriate containers, makes sure the rooms look the same as when we got there, then loads the containers into our second trailer. They finish by 12:45. There are two teams, A Team and B Team also working on alternate weekends.

Lobby set-up teams: The set up team has two members and starts between 7:30 and 8:00 on Sunday morning. They set up all the tables in the lobbies and the Commons (main service area). They also put up all our informational and directional signage, and make sure the lobby has a pleasant, finished look that's ready for our attenders. This job takes an hour or less, and there is an A Team and B Team working on alternate weekends.

Lobby tear down teams: The lobby tear down team has two members. They clear the tables and pack the materials and table covers in the appropriate plastic bins. They may fold and store the tables themselves, or get help with that part from the auditorium crew. The tables can be heavy and awkward. This area normally takes about 30 minutes, starting shortly after second service ends. This is also organized with an A Team and B Team, scheduled for alternating weekends.

Greeters: Greeters are the first contact with visitors and regular members at WCC. It is our goal to make everyone feel welcome, expected, and wanted. The great thing about ushering and greeting is that you can serve and then join services without missing a beat. Greeters are needed for both Saturday and Sunday services. Parking lot attendants: A smile and a wave lets people know that we expected them and are glad they're here. As the parking lot fills up, a parking lot attendant will direct people to an available spot. Attendants are needed for both Saturday and Sunday services.

Door Greeter: Standing just inside the first entry doors, this person with a friendly and warm personality will open the door and greet people as they enter the building.

Lobby Greeter: This person will also greet people with a warm welcome and a smile and help move them toward the Coffee Center, Welcome Center or Children's Sunday School as needed. This person should know where all classes are located so they can answer any directional questions.

Worship Center Greeter: Standing just inside the Worship Center, this person hands out programs and warmly welcomes each person who enters.

Welcome Center: This person should be familiar with all the items at the Welcome and Information Tables. Greet visitors with a friendly, welcoming smile and let them know more about our church. Answer any questions or direct them to the appropriate places. Ushers: One usher should be positioned on each side of the Worship Center. An usher will be familiar with available seating and will quietly direct people to the number of seats needed for the whole family. They should also know where extra chairs are kept and be in tune to whether these chairs are needed.

Communion Server: As a communion server, you will be serving the most important meal of the week. This commitment happens during Saturday and Sunday services, and requires no pre-service preparation.

Coffee hospitality and clean up: This is a need for Saturday night and Sunday morning. Coffee preparation starts around 8:00 am on Sunday mornings, with a one or two person crew. This crew brews coffee and hot water, using the equipment in our container, and arranges the filled dispensers along with cups, napkins, creamers, etc. on the hospitality table in the lobby. This work takes about 30 minutes, and there are two teams, A Team and B Team, working alternate weekends. Coffee prep for Saturday night would begin around 5:00 pm. The coffee clean up person on Sunday morning packs up all the coffee supplies from the table into a plastic storage bin, along with all the empty beverage dispensers, and takes them downstairs. The dispensers are then rinsed out and packed into the storage container along with the other supplies. This takes about 30 minutes, and there are two teams, A Team and B Team, working alternate weekends. The coffee cleanup person for Saturday night would empty, clean and straighten the WCC 10th St. kitchen coffee area. Communion preparation: This team fills our communion trays and brings them up to the main service area. They start around 5:00 pm on Saturday, or 8:00 am on Sunday. This takes about 30 minutes, and there are two teams, A Team and B Team, working alternate weekends.

Communion clean up: This team packs up all the communion supplies from the table into a plastic storage bin and takes them downstairs.
