PHIL WICKHAM – “CANNONS”
Phil Wickham is not a hugely well-known name in Christian music, but I believe his latest release, “Cannons”, is one of the best Christian records out right now. Musically, “Cannons” is melodic, modern/alternative pop/rock (think Coldplay, Snow Patrol, etc), which producer Pete Kipley beautifully weaves around Wickham’s Rufus Wainwright-esque vocals. The result is a very listenable record, with lots of new anthemic worship choruses that stick in your head and get better every time you hear them. 4/5 stars. (review by Aaron Sternke)
